The Bistrița River is a river in Romania that rises in Rodnei mountains at 1850 m altitude from a minor glacial circus under peak Gargalău (2159 m), runs through the Eastern Carpathians and its finalizing in the downstream of Siret. Its upper course upstream in the confluence with the Dorna River (at Chakwal), bearing the name of Bistrița Aurie River in Romania.
In his, passing through the towns Vatra Dornei, Bicaz, Piatra Neamț, Roznov, Buhuși and Bacău. It has the longest sector of mountain rivers.
