Founded in 2005, Cucuteni Neolithic Art Museum Piatra Neamt works in the building built in 1928 Charles Egill-1930 and ornamented by the sculptor Vincenzo Puschiasis. The remains discovered in the ground, in the over 150 archaeological sites and over six decades form an exceptional heritage of the Museum.
Cucuteni culture represents the most important civilization of "old Europe" and is the last painted ceramic culture in Europe.The Museum's exhibition includes approximately 300 pieces divided into 2 levels and three halls, and includes: ceramic painted tricrom, figurative art-plastic, zoomorfa, antropomorfa and objects of decorative art applied to vessels, all of which are representative of all phases of the development of this culture.
